Clear aligners or fixed braces

Aligners suit most adult cases and are removable for meals and photographs. Fixed braces still do certain movements better, particularly rotations and larger corrections. We will tell you honestly which one your case actually needs rather than which one sells better.

Your teeth are scanned and the full sequence is simulated first, so you can see the finishing position before treatment starts. Nothing is improvised along the way.

How it goes, step by step.

Records and simulation

Scans, photographs and an x-ray, then a digital simulation of how the teeth will move and where they will end.

Plan approval

We walk through the simulation together, adjust the target, and agree the length of treatment before you commit.

Active movement

Aligner changes or brace adjustments at a steady rhythm, with a short review every six to eight weeks.

Retention

A retainer holds the result. This part is not optional: teeth drift for life, and retention is what keeps the work.

There is pressure rather than pain, strongest for a day or two after each change, then it settles. Most people manage with nothing stronger than a soft diet for the first evening.

No. Adult teeth move at any age as long as the gums and bone are healthy, and a large share of the people we treat are in their thirties, forties and beyond.

Clear aligners are close to invisible at conversational distance. If you need fixed braces, ceramic brackets keep them discreet.
